Hair Mask Types by Concern
- Moisturising Mask: Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, or Honey — replenishes moisture to dry, brittle hair dehydrated by air conditioning
- Protein / Strengthening Mask: Keratin, Hydrolysed Silk, or Wheat Protein — repairs structural damage, reduces breakage. Essential for heat-damaged or chemically treated hair
- Bond Repair Mask: Repairs broken disulfide bonds from bleaching or colouring (similar to Olaplex) — most intensive structural repair available at home
- Colour-Protecting Mask: Sulphate-free with UV filters — preserves colour vibrancy and prevents fading in Singapore's sun
- Frizz-Control Mask: Argan Oil, silicones, and smoothing polymers that seal the cuticle and block SG's humidity
- Scalp-Soothing Mask: Applied to the scalp — calms irritation and dandruff with Cica, Tea Tree, or Salicylic Acid
How to Use a Hair Mask Correctly
- Shampoo first — apply to clean, towel-dried hair (not dripping wet) for best penetration
- Apply from mid-lengths to ends — avoid the scalp unless using a scalp-specific mask
- Use a wide-tooth comb to distribute evenly through the hair
- Leave for the recommended time (5–20 minutes) — use a shower cap to maximise penetration with body heat
- Rinse with cool water — cool water seals the cuticle for maximum shine and smoothness
- Follow with a leave-in conditioner or hair serum on damp hair before styling
